Kyoto may not be known as Japan’s ramen capital - and that’s exactly what makes this tour special.

This is a relaxed, insight-driven ramen experience that takes a closer look at how ramen fits into Kyoto’s everyday food culture. Instead of rushing from shop to shop, the tour begins with a sit-down introduction where you’ll talk ramen with a local guide, ask questions, and get a feel for what makes Kyoto ramen different - from rich, chicken-forward broths to the city’s mix of classic styles and modern interpretations.

From there, your guide will help you choose two ramen shops from a carefully curated list, based on what you’re curious to try. At each stop, you’ll enjoy half-size bowls, so you can experience different styles without feeling rushed or overly full..

The experience begins and ends near the Karasuma area, just a short walk from Nishiki Market, making it easy to continue exploring Kyoto before or after the tour.
